What is the Challenge Walk?
The event consist of 2 main night hike routes:
Long Walk – approximately 18 miles
Short Walk – approximately 10 miles
The Challenge Walk is open to Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Guides, Senior Section, Network Units, recognised Youth Organisations and Leader Teams. The walk is suitable for individuals aged 10½ years and over and for teams that are between 4 (minimum) and 8 (maximum) in number. Leaders/Parents are welcome to walk with young people where appropriate. Full details can be found in the brochure and the medical form can be downloaded.
Please note that start times are issued on receipt of your application therefore, the earlier your application is received, the earlier your start time will be.
The Cub Walk of approx 4 miles is open to teams of 20 maximum including 3 Leaders.
The Beaver Walk of approx 1½ miles is also open to teams of 20 including 3 Leaders.
